1.  March 2005 to March 2006: Enhancing the legal awareness and democracy Regulation
From March 2005 to March 2006: the Centre for Legal Research and Services (LERES) conducts activities aiming to enhance legal awareness and the democratic regulations for the local people in Bac Giang Province.  
Objectives of the Program:  

  •     To enhance the participation of the people in local activities;

  •         To enhance the awareness of people on the civilizens rights, States laws and regulations;

  •         To set up the legal clubs for answering legal related queries;  

Main Activities:  

  •          To improve knowledge and skills for grassroots activities;

  •          To improve the basic knowledge on laws;

  •          To establish legal Clubs;

  •          To draft the publications and organize training courses for local officials and people.

2. Enhancing the capability of local people in decision-making process
Project of Enhancing the capability of local people in decision-making process. This Project is implemented with the support of Oxfam. The Projects duration is 03 years from 2002 to 2005 in the locations of Thai Nguyen and Ha Tinh Provinces.  
In this regard, LERES conducts the following activities:

  •          Organizing training courses on knowledge and skills for local people  and grassroofs officials;

  •          Holding the forums, workshops on the legal propaganda;

  •          Setting up the legal bookcases and legal material groups for local people;

  •          Drafting learning materials, legal manuals and legal information brochures;

 

3. Land Consolidation Project

  From 2004 to 2005: World Bank supportes LERES in conducting the Land Consolidation Project in Thanh Hoa, Ha Nam , Bac Giang, Yen Bai Provinces .

The research and verification are conducted on provincial, district officials and households who named as the target subjects.  

 

4. July, 2005 to June, 2006: Improving the legal awareness for local people and grassroots cadres.
From July, 2005 to June 2006: LERES conducts the Program Improving the legal knowledge and awareness for local people and grassroofs officials in Kon Ray and Dak To of Kon Tum Province.  
Main activities:  

  •          Training for legal propagandist;

  •          Training for the local people;

  •          Raising local initiative fund;

  •          Establishing the legal Club and Development;

  •          Establishing the grassroofs democracy;

  •          Propagandizing laws by mobile means and over local radios;

  •         Organizing contest on grassroofss regulation.

5. Heightening the legal knowledge and legal diffusing and consultation.
In co-ordination with international organization - CARE Vietnam, LERES implements activities to enhance the legal knowledge and skills in propaganda, make consultancy on laws for the staff of Centre for Legal Services of Hoa Binh Provinces.  
Main activities:  

  •         Conducting surveys, appraising the capability of the staff of Centre for Legal Services;

  •          Training PRA;

  •          Training the legal knowledge on: fundamental rights and skills in propaganda

  •         Organizing the legal forums;

  •         Training for the coaches;  

The target groups of such activities are the staffs of Hoa Binh Centre for Legal Services, Women Union and promoters of LARC. More info
